FOTD: Spring Fairy Makeup (Collaboration with Adjusting Beauty)

Spring is just around the corner and I feel like it awakened in me an inspiration for more creative spring looks. Because it's more fun to create a makeup look in a collaboration with someone, this time, Petra and I created a look on a theme Spring Fairy. The idea was to show the difference between good and evil spring fairy, and I think we did a pretty good job.

I think this is my third collaboration post with Petra (first here and second here). It's always so great to work with such a talented lady and amazing blogger. I can not tell you how happy I am to have a blogger like Petra living so close to me. She's really one of the nicest and sweetest persons I've met, and when we start talking it feels like hours go by just too fast. One month ago we even organized an event together which was a full success (you can read about it here if you haven't yet).

My job was to create an Evil Spring Fairy and I couldn't be more happy about it. Dark and bold colours have written my name on. I was thinking if I should include any other colour, not just dark green, neon green (which illustrates the poison to me :P) and black, but everything else seemed more appropriate for the good fairy.

On eyes, I created two versions - one more wearable and second a bit more creative. The reason is that on a first day when I started to do this look something came up and I managed to do only a wearable version, I didn't have time to update the look. So on the next day, I was following my tutorial from previous day, I just made some changes on lower lash line - I made a black line on lower lash line, and then I filled my waterline and the place between it and the black line with neon green.

On eyes, I started with an eyeshadow primer to prevent creasing. In the crease, I applied lime green eyeshadow. I mixed two dark green shades and applied them all over the lid. Then I used grass green shade and blended the dark green out in the crease. In my inner corner, I applied neon green. In my outer V, I added a black eyeshadow to deepen the look. On lower lash line I applied the same combination of two dark greens as I used on the lid. Then I added a black pencil on my water line, eyeliner and mascara.

To present the fairy, I contoured the hollows of my cheeks with teal green, which came out much brighter once it was blended. I also contoured my nose with the same shade, and in the middle I applied highlighter I also used on the highest point of my cheeks. In the middle of my forehead, I glued green stud and above brows draw spirals and some dots. On my left side, I draw few spirals all over my cheek, and on my right side, I glued few little studs. On lips, I first used black cream eyeshadow from Flash palette I bought on eBay and then added the green one in the middle. Over this green, I applied dark shimmery green eyeshadow. I added the flower band on my head and the look was done.
