Pinktober: Wearing Pink Makeup and Nails
October is a breast cancer awareness month and a group of Slovenian bloggers decided to do collaboration posts for this occasion. I, of course, had to join since from last year our family has been struggling with this disease, but luckily it’s getting better and I’m preparing a chatty post about this theme once this week. I hope I will post it because I’m still not satisfied with everything I wrote. So more about cancer and how I’ve been experiencing it during past year, next time. But I’m sure many Slovenian bloggers wrote more about cancer and how to fight it in their posts, so definitely check them out (links to their posts are in the end of my post).
As a blogger who’s loving makeup I decided to prepare a tutorial for a simple pink and purple makeup look, and I also made (not so) matching manicure, because from the end of 31 day nail art challenge I haven’t been doing much nail art.
I taped a tape in outer part of my eye, because I wanted a sharp line there, and I started with priming my lids with eyeshadow base. Then I applied brighter matte pink eyeshadow on inner third of my lid and a bit darker pink shade on the rest of the lid. In crease I first applied purple eyeshadow and blended it on brow bone. Then I took black eyeshadow, which I applied in crease and blended it out with light purple shade. In the middle of the lid I used shimmery pink shade. I removed the tape. On my lower lash line I used matte pink eyeshadow. I highlighted inner corner with matte white eyeshadow. Then I pulled the line with pink eyeshadow from outer corner of my eye till my brow, parallel with the line on upper part of my eye. I filled the gap between both lines with white eyeshadow. On waterline and between lower lashes I applied black kajal pencil and then used purple eyeshadow to smudge it between lashes. Then I applied eyeliner, highlighter under my brow, mascara and false lashes.
Exaggerating with pink was a huge possibility here, because I decided to use pink on cheeks and lips as well, but I applied blush really gently and it’s almost invisible on photos. I have a feeling that this bright pink lip cream concludes the look really nicely. I first applied darker shade of pink, but that just wasn’t what I wanted, so I rather used a bright pink shade. In the end this came out bolder that I planned, but I do like it. Although I’m not really sure I would wear so many pink on regular basis.

Pink nails are not something I would do often, but pink inspired nail art must be done in October. I was using Essence Wild White Ways and Models Own Gumballs, combining different techniques - freehand design, dotting and striping tape. Although I'm not a fan of pink I really like this manicure.
Don't forget to check what other girls did for their pink inspired post.
